Slacked.
21 November 2008 (Friday)
Finally, finally got around to packing my luggage for NZ.
LOLS.
22 November 2008 (Saturday)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DILLON!
Mom, dad, grandmother, brother came to see me off.
O.o
Checked in and everything, ate Taro Turnover at Burger King before going into the Departure Hall.
That morning before going to the airport, when my dad woke me up at around 7 plus, I was thinking, "Saturday why need to wake up so early" until I realised about a few minutes later that I was supposed to go to NZ.
LOL.
OK so boarded the plane and everything. Sat beside Richie and Yuching on the flight to Brunei for transit.
Richie so fun to bully, LOL.
Slacked at Brunei for about 5 hours.
Watched Joshua, Zhiliang and Junweng play Chess, watched Venus they all play Uno, did some fortune telling, super sian, bought Ferrero Rocher, folded 3 roses using the wrapper of the chocolate, slacked somemore, blah blah.
Had to discuss and performance sing and dance item that we might be performing to the New Zealand students. It was ridiculously fun. So many people staring at us, and laughing.
We were like, practising Singapore Town and Singapura in the middle of the Brunei Airport area. Wtf.
Finally got on to the plane to Auckland.
Watched movies on the plane, slept, blah blah.
23 November 2008 (Sunday)
Officially arrived in Auckland!
Met our beloved Tour Guide, Christine, and our fantastic bus-
Our bus was obviously named after Richie. LOL.
So we were on our way to Tauranga.
Stopped at Karangahake Gorge. I didn't exactly know what it was, I only knew that the scenery was god-damned beautiful.
Walked over this not-so-stable bridge, listened to the tour guide talk about stuffs, look at the nice clear water, walked back on another not-so-stable bridge, then went back to the bus to continue our bus ride to Tauranga.
Bridgeeeeyyyyy.
So nice right?! Zzz.
Pretty flowers, bloom for you and me.
-_-"
Bridge we had to walk back on.
Then we had a little extra time, so we stopped by at the area where they used to do gold-mining.
It was damn windy and my hair was blowing all over my face.
Climbed this really little hill to get to this big thing.
I think that truck thing was used to dig some gold.
From left to right - Richie, Shawn, Mrs Choy, Charmaine, Xiumin. LOL.
Look how small they are compared to that truck thing.
The view from up that little hill - nice, isn't it?
This roundish thing that is a.... gate. I think. It's just this thing you walk through lah.
Gold-mining area. I think it's closed down now or something. I don't know.
Oh. The mine is named Martha. Nice nice.
Saw a fit little horse.
Finally reached Tauranga after that long bus ride.
Went to this particular beach.
Cooling waves. Cooling wind.
Apparently there's this sand dune problem. I too lazy explain liao. But of course I understand luh.
And then we climbed this mountain that is 233m tall.
I didn't even know we were supposed to climb it until I realised we reached the top.
LOL.
I thought we only walking up this thing, climbing a few flight of stairs, and that's it.
But the tour guide (didn't know she was so fit) kept climbing and we kept following and when I reached the top I felt a little cheated. LOLS.
First we were this low-
Then we got higher,
and higher,
until we reached the top.
Wowxz ._.
The city, yo'
After that we went to a supermarket to buy personal supplies. LOL.
Then arrived at Pacific Park. The girls stayed in Collings Lodge while the guys stayed in Unit 7.
The whole place was super cosy. We had to do our own housework. Like setting up the dinner tables and washing the dishes and stuffs.
